WASHINGTON -- On Thursday, January
20, 2005, The United States Capitol Police made 6 arrests
during the 55th Presidential Inaugural. 5 individuals were
charged with disorderly conduct and 1 individual was charged
with unlawful entry on property.
Chief Terrance W. Gainer stated earlier that,
"The United States Capitol Police were honored to have
a small part in the 55th Presidential Inauguration. The Washington
area community is served by a community of public professionals
who work well together. That said, I am delighted the sun
has set on this fine day."
The United States Capitol Police appreciates
the cooperation and participation of everyone involved that
helped to make the 2005 Presidential Inauguration a success.
