On Saturday, January 10,
2004, the United States Capitol Police will be conducting
a training exercise. The exercise will be conducted throughout
the south side of the United States Capitol Grounds between
the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. and will involve several
law enforcement personnel and assets.
In order to facilitate the exercise,
portions of Independence Avenue, between First Street SE
and First Street SW will be closed and Capitol tours for
Saturday will be cancelled.
